"I Hated My Mother"

Dear Diary,

I'm happy for her...

My mother passed away 4 months ago naturally in her sleep.

I HATED MY MOTHER!!!

Everyone knew her by her nickname (Missy) she was beautiful and could work a room like no one I'd ever seen before. She had an infectious laugh and that smile of hers (chefs kiss).

Unfortunately, she was a victim of Domestic Violence for over 30 years. She drank herself into Dementia and ended up living with my husband and I for 3 years until her last breath.

I have years of trauma to unpack so I won't go into detail of why I hated my mother right now. (Just imagine growing up in violence and misery)

Anyway, now that she's gone, I'm happy that she no longer has to be miserable or feel unloved.
